The Counseling Ministries of Cypress Church are designed for anyone who needs to talk or pray about a situation that seems too overwhelming to deal with on your own. We have a team of very well-trained Lay Counselors who are able to help with issues like worry, anxiety, fear, depression or grief. Lay Counseling is not just designed for the major upheavals of life but even the daily struggles. Take advantage of our free, no-fee Lay Counseling. Professional Counseling Services is available on site. All counseling sessions are confidential.

Professional Counseling Services

Many individuals and couples prefer to have their personal, emotional, or marital needs met within their local church. Cypress Church has provided the opportunity for professional and confidential pre-marital, marital, and individual counseling services on campus. These services are professional and involve a fee for services. Outside referrals are given, when appropriate. The first session fee for members and regular attendees of Cypress Church is reduced.

Lay Counseling Services

Our Counseling Ministry is designed to give comfort and encouragement to those who have been worn down from the stress and confusion of this life. We all need one another to recover from the stresses and strains of present day life. The counseling ministry is designed to be that help. Give us a call and let us help restore your faith, your peace and your hope. Counseling can speak hope into your life.

Cypress Church also has small groups and ministries which meet to offer each other support and encouragement.

Cancer Companions

Cancer Companions are trained church volunteers who support cancer families through one on one meetings or a cancer support group and is open to anyone in treatment, post treatment, loved ones & caregivers.  Cancer Companions wants to bring spiritual encouragement, knowledge, resources and especially hope to those who struggle in their journey.  Please contact Dot Slagle for one-on-one meetings or support group schedules.

Al-Anon is an adult support group started for spouses and family members of individuals addicted to any substance who want to learn how to go on with life when a loved one is self-destructing with alcohol or substance abuse. Drop-in visitors are always welcome!

Alcoholics Anonymous

Sundays at 5 p.m.; Room 209

These weekly meetings utilize the AA open topic discussion format and is available to anyone who wishes to attend, alcoholic or not. Drop-in visitors always welcome.

This group uses the Big Book and 12 & 12 (12 Steps and 12 Traditions) books for discussion and sharing of experience, strength and hope in sobriety.  All ladies are welcome, but only alcoholics may participate.

Groups run for 13-week sessions. GriefShare is for anyone ages 16 years and over.   It's not too late to join our current session!

  1. My friend Barbara Dillon and myself, Anthony Cruz are very interested in joining your grief counseling class on thursdays 7-9pm. It says it started on March 9th. I hope its not too late for us to start class with you this thursday. Please advise. We can both really use help with our grief.
