Women’s Ministry

 

These ministries exist to give the women of Cypress Church and surrounding communities an opportunity to meet together for the purpose of growing spiritually and enjoying the fellowship of other women. The mission statement for the Women’s Ministry is “Empowering women to transformed living through the hope, truth, and encouragement found in a personal
relationship with Jesus Christ.”

Moms in Prayer

This group of ladies meets regularly to pray for their children, adult children, grandchildren, and their schools.

 

Hurting Moms-Mending Hearts

This is a Bible-based support group for moms who kids are making poor choices and/or involved in self-destructive behaviors.

Rebuilders

Women ages 50 and older

Saturday at 5:00 p.m. (monthly)

Women around the age of 50 and up who are single, widowed, divorced, or come to church "on their own" meet for fellowship and a potluck dinner once a month.  Please call for details.

Knitting and Crocheting Ministry

Women, all ages

1st Thursday of each month, 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Learn to knit and crochet with informal, personal instruction. Bring a project of your own or participate in making hats for the homeless distributed through Joe and Gwynne Browne's Faith in Christ Ministries in South Central Los Angeles at Christmastime.

This group is known for Bible study, prayer support and great fellowship.

Thursday Morning Bible Study & Fellowship

Women, all ages

Thursdays at 9:00am
Room 2

We are studying "Living with Passion and Purpose" by Elizabeth George.  It is based on the Bible book of Luke.

Books are $7.00; scholarships are available.

Alcoholics Anonymous (Tuesday)

Women and men of all ages

Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
Room 4

This weekly meeting utilizes the Big Book and 12 & 12 (12 steps & 12 traditional) books for discussion and sharing of experience, strength, and hope in sobriety. All those with a desire to stop drinking are welcome, but only alcoholics may participate.
